Watchful Eyes
I first visited London in 2003, and what I really found distracting was not the massive use of CCTV supervision which I knew of before, but an governmental advertisment campaign praising tightened security measures on busses. It took me a moment to realize that this ad was not by a hip fashion label. Now I found a photo of it on monoscope.com and still find it stunning to see straight 1984 symbolism used in such a manner. What could be more revealing?
