Some webdev/frontend links and notes
User Interfaces I: Lightbox JS is a script that overlays images on a page, which could be an interesting way to present larged size photos. No need to build long JS popup links like used on this site, plain image is shown with JS switched off or when link opened in new tab, tiny mod for Wordpress afficionados here. Via qmx.de.
User Interfaces II: Date Slider looks like an interesting use of javascripted Flash, but I haven't looked any closer at it yet. Somewhere out there is pregnancy and early childhood blog or info site with a similar interface for quickly navigating within large spaces of time.
Eye Candy I: When I first saw the Apple Aperture website I thought this would be a nice source of web design inspiration. Now I've seen the Hemingway Theme - what a beauty. Available from Kyle Neath as a Worpress theme and for a blogging tool called Typo. Test blog. Segmenting a page vertically is an interesting method to separate fresh from older and static content anyway.
Eye Candy II: wellvetted.com, perennial.
Useful: PixIcons is a free 9x9 pixel dingbats font created by eight designers and compiled by Michael Preidel.
