Christopher Allbritton: War Correspondent, Blogger

Christopher Allbritton is a former Associated Press (AP) correspondet and New York Daily News reporter who turned to independent journalism. He chose Iraq and the foreign policy of the Bush Administration as his subject - and puts what he has in a weblog that is excellent reading.

Christopher: "This summer [2002] I went stumbling around Iraqi Kurdistan, the northern part of Iraq outside Saddam's direct control, looking for stories. (Some might call it 'looking for trouble.') Well, now I want to go back in time for the war. So I'm asking your help in supporting independent journalism! Send me back to Iraq to report on what's happening" in the Back to Iraq 2.0 blog. Wired Magazine has a background story.

He also has two stories on the US army's announcement to shoot at independent journalists. One reason more not to trust this Administration - and to support independent journalism.
